Most known for both his substantial narratives and often outlandish imagery, Tyler Yee is an American Writer-Director who has worked with artists and companies to create compelling content across a range of multi-media platforms.
While studying acting at Loyola University in New Orleans, he laid the foundation for his own line of work by developing and visually branding one of RCA’s top recording artists, G-Eazy, shooting the rapper’s music videos and content throughout his entire independent career.
Unlike many style-specific directors, his multifaceted experience with performance, design, fashion, branding and tech has played a role in his ability to collaborate with a wide variety of artists, organizations and companies to create content proven to turn heads and bridge contrasting demographics. Tyler’s natural ability to push boundaries has consistently reinforced his aptitude for virality, garnering over a billion views.
He has written and directed music videos for artists G-Eazy, Migos, DJ Carnage, Tory Lanez, A$AP Ferg, Steve Aoki, and KSHMR, and has directed commercials for many companies including Mini Cooper and Google. He has been featured on MTV, BET, VH1, Billboard, Complex, Vogue, & Nylon among others.
In 2017, Tyler worked with Complex Media cinematically redefining the digital Cover of Complex Magazine to further amplify the brand’s creative voice as a leader in pop culture.
