Arrad’s background stems from his Iranian-American roots. He grew up in a small town in Southern California where he constantly felt out of place. Shaped from being an outcast, cultural differences forced him to gravitate toward creative filmmaking. This form of expression was not a common outlet in his hometown, so Arrad had to pave his own path as a director.
Arrad is known for bringing out powerful performances in his talent. He makes every subject feel and look their best. Each shot is tailored so every detail is prioritized towards the subject’s appearance on camera through the right light, lens and angle! His editorial style is woven in high concept technical work as he boldly shapes any narrative.
